Treatments

All-on-4 in Antalya.

When a whole jaw of teeth is failing or already gone, four implants — two straight at the front, two angled at the back — can carry a fixed bridge. It is fixed: you do not take it out at night, and it does not cover the roof of your mouth.

Time in AntalyaUsually 2 trips: about 5 days for surgery and the temporary bridge, then about 5 days for the final one
Between tripsTypically 4–6 months
Per arch4 implants (sometimes 6, if the bone allows and the bite asks for it)
AnaesthesiaLocal anaesthetic with sedation available

Who it tends to suit

This is a treatment for people whose remaining teeth cannot be saved, or who have worn a removable denture and are tired of it moving. Angling the two rear implants lets them anchor in the denser bone at the front of the jaw, which often avoids the bone grafting a conventional full-arch case would need.

It is not automatically the right answer. If enough of your own teeth can be kept, keeping them usually wins. That comparison is made honestly at the planning stage — a jaw that is emptied unnecessarily cannot be undone.

How the treatment runs

  1. PlanningCBCT scan, photographs and a bite assessment. The scan decides where the bone is dense enough to take an angled implant, and whether four or six is the right number for you.
  2. Surgery dayAny hopeless teeth are removed, the implants are placed, and a fixed temporary bridge is usually screwed on the same day — you leave with teeth, not gaps.
  3. HealingThe temporary bridge stays in place while the implants integrate, typically 4–6 months. You eat softer food during the first weeks; this is the part patients underestimate.
  4. The final bridgeOnce healing is confirmed, the definitive bridge is made and fitted on the second trip, with the bite refined over a few appointments.

What the final bridge is made of

The definitive bridge is normally a monolithic zirconia or a titanium-reinforced structure, chosen for how your bite loads it rather than by price tier. Mechanical complications — a chipped facing, a loosened screw — are the most common maintenance events over the years, and they are repairable.

What the published evidence says A 2026 systematic review and meta-analysis of 55 studies reported pooled implant survival of 99.2% at one year and 98.1% at five years or more for All-on-4, with All-on-6 at 97.5% over the same long-term window — that is, no meaningful advantage for the extra implants in the pooled data. Mechanical complications occurred in about 5.9% of All-on-4 cases and biological complications in about 6.5%. The authors note high heterogeneity between studies, so these figures describe the treatment in general, not any one patient's odds. Shao W-H, Chen R, Wang S, Duan S-Y, Zhang X-D, Tang Y-L. Afterwards

A fixed full-arch bridge needs cleaning underneath it — with interdental brushes, a water flosser, and a professional clean twice a year. The bridge is unscrewed and inspected periodically. Patients who keep to that routine tend to be the ones still comfortable a decade later.

Planning the trips

Most patients plan the first trip around 7 days to allow a rest day after surgery, and the second around 5. Antalya's airport is close enough that neither trip begins with a long transfer, and the months in between are spent at home with a fixed temporary bridge rather than a denture in a glass.

About timings Every figure on this page is a typical range drawn from routine cases. Your own schedule depends on bone quality, gum health, how many teeth are involved and how your body heals — it is assessed and decided by Dt. Koyuncu after a clinical examination, and adjusted if your case asks for it.

Questions patients ask

Will I leave with teeth on the first trip?
In most cases yes — a fixed temporary bridge is usually placed the same day the implants go in. Occasionally, if an implant is not stable enough at placement, waiting is the safer decision; that is judged during surgery and explained to you immediately.
Four implants or six?
Six is used when the bone allows it and the bite is heavy, but the pooled research does not show a clear survival advantage for six over four. The number is decided from your CBCT scan, not from a price list.
How long does the bridge itself last?
The implants and the bridge age differently. Implants are the long-term part; the bridge is a wearing component that may need repair or replacement over the years, particularly if you grind your teeth. A night guard is often part of the plan.
