Clear aligners in Antalya.
Aligners move teeth with a sequence of transparent trays, each one slightly different from the last. Most of the treatment happens at home — which makes it one of the few options that fits naturally around living in another country.
Who it tends to suit
Mild to moderate crowding, spacing, and relapse after childhood braces respond well. Complex bite corrections, significant jaw discrepancies and severely rotated teeth may need fixed appliances or a specialist referral — and being told that at the start is worth more than being sold a plan that stalls.
Aligners are also worth considering before veneers. Moving a tooth into position removes less enamel than reshaping it with ceramic, and the two treatments together often need fewer restorations than veneers alone.
How the treatment runs
- Scan and simulationA digital scan replaces impressions. The planned movement is simulated so you can see the sequence and the estimated number of trays before committing.
- FittingSmall tooth-coloured attachments are bonded where the trays need grip. You are shown how to seat and remove them, and you leave with several sets.
- At homeYou change trays on schedule and wear them 20–22 hours a day. Progress is checked remotely with photographs; further trays are shipped or collected on a later visit.
- RetentionWhen the teeth are where they should be, retainers hold them there. Teeth move for life — retention is not optional, and it is the step people regret skipping.
Honest limits
Aligners only work while they are in your mouth. The published trial data assumes the trays are actually worn; the most common cause of a plan running long is not the appliance but the hours. If you know you would not wear them, fixed braces are the more honest choice.
Afterwards
Retainers, checked periodically. Most patients wear them nightly and indefinitely — the alternative is watching the crowding return over a few years. A bonded wire behind the front teeth is often combined with a removable retainer.
Running it from abroad
This is the treatment that travels best. Records and fitting happen on one short visit to Antalya; progress checks are done by photograph. Where an in-person review is needed, it can usually be timed with a holiday rather than a special trip.
